Angie was a highly prominent artistic figure in Ontario, spending 20 years operating her landmark historic studio gallery in Niagara-on-the-Lake. She later moved her operation to a home-based studio and art gallery in Niagara Falls and has since officially retired from painting. Because she is no longer active, original works from her peak Niagara gallery era are becoming increasingly scarce. Key Details:Authenticity: 100% original watercolor on heavy textured paper. Personally hand-signed by the artist and hand-titled "Geranium" in graphite pencil. No printing dots or digital reproductions here-this is a true one-of-a-kind painting with beautiful, organic fluid paint blooms. The Framing: Housed in its premium, original gallery-era exhibition frame featuring a classic double-cream and forest-green triple-mat layout. Framed in Saint Catherines.  Condition Note: The painting itself is vibrant and beautifully preserved. The outside of the glass is completely smooth to the touch, but there is a tiny, minor cosmetic clamshell chip tucked right against the inside bottom frame lip (see close-up last photo). It is tiny, fully stable, and doesn't affect the artwork, but it is noted and priced accordingly! Provenance Reference: I have included a 2015 archival photo of Angie Strauss herself standing alongside an identical twin piece from this exact mid-1980s collection ("Tulip Smiles").
