This lot features two highly collectible marked pieces from the historic Ohio pottery boom, plus one heavily faded bonus plate included completely free. What’s Included: 1) 1910 Fisherman & Horseshoe Advertising Plate (Top Condition) Theme: Fly fisherman wading in a stream, framed by a lucky horseshoe motif. Manufacturer: D.E. McNicol Pottery Co. (East Liverpool, OH) stamped "Carnation" on reverse. Merchant Stamp: "Compliments Julius Hildebrandt, 1820 Court St., Saginaw, Mich. "Special Detail: Original artist signature "AM" is visible printed in the matrix on the lower left shoreline rocks Condition: Excellent antique condition for its age. The gold gilt rim detailing is exceptionally bright and well-preserved. Clear transfer artwork.Size: 7 ¼ inches. 2) 1910 "Gibson Girl" & Wishbone Advertising Plate Theme: Elegant Edwardian woman in an elaborate hat framed by a lucky wishbone pulled by two hands. Manufacturer: National China Company (N.C.Co., E.L.O. backstamp). Merchant Stamp: "Compliments of The Avenue Company, Canton, Ohio” Condition: The central transfer design is still very clear and legible. The outer gold gilt trim along the scalloped edge is mostly faded/worn away, which is typical for a piece of this vintage. No cracks. Size: 7 ½ inches.
