Mid century ceramic lidded jar/preserve pot manufactured by Lancaster & Sandland Ltd. in Hanley, Staffordshire, England. This highly collectible piece was commissioned specifically for Frank Cooper’s Oxford Marmalade and features a colorful, traditional transferware scene from the historic "Cries of London" series ("Who'll Buy My Lavender"). It includes the matching original ceramic lid. The bottom features the authentic, stamped Lancaster & Sandland "Handshake" logo, which securely dates this specific piece to the 1950s.
