Beautiful Turn-of-the-Century Antique European Porcelain Plates Offering a stunning 7.5-inch antique Royal Vienna style portrait plate featuring a beautifully detailed depiction of Shakespeare’s "Juliet". This piece dates back to the late 19th / early 20th century and features the iconic "Beehive" backstamp mark on the reverse. Condition of Portrait Plate: Excellent. The central transfer-and-paint portrait is exceptionally crisp. Flawless Gilding: The elaborate gold scrollwork and accents on the rich green border show virtually no rubbing or handling wear. A truly rare find for its age! Included Bonus Plate: I am including a 7.5-inch antique German Bavarian floral plate from the Jaeger & Co. (J&C) "Louise" line (circa 1898–1923) Even though it is from a different manufacturer, the pastel pink roses and soft floral coloring match the portrait plate's inner flower border beautifully, making them a perfectly coordinated display set. Please note this second plate is in rough condition with significant center fading and hairline cracks on the back. It still displays beautifully on a high shelf or works wonderfully for a mosaic/craft project!
