For sale is a late Victorian/early Edwardian centerpiece boat (jardinière/fern dish) manufactured by S. Fielding & Co. in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England. This historic pottery line later became universally famous under the trade name "Crown Devon."Dating between 1891 and 1906 this piece features the factory's registered "ORIENTAL" series stamp on the underside, complete with the classic standing lion and crown emblem. Design Highlights: Style: Striking Art Nouveau aesthetic with an organically shaped, heavily scalloped rim. Colors: A gorgeous exterior gradient blending pastel mint green into cream, paired with a soft blush-pink interior rim frame. Details: Intricate molded basketweave texture near the handles, highlighted by ornate Rococo-revival scroll handles wrapped in brushed/sponged gold trim. Condition:Excellent antique condition for its 120+ year age. The body, handles, and delicate scalloped rim points are completely structurally sound with no chips, cracks, or repairs.
