Verified by its iconic green geometric sailboat backstamp, this authentic set was manufactured in Staffordshire, England between 1936 and 1954. This highly collectible "Petalware" line is famous for its gorgeous pastel blush-pink glaze and distinctively scalloped, wavy rims mimicking flower petals.This unusually large estate set includes highly sought-after, premium host serving pieces and a beautiful open coffee/tea service vignette. The rare 5 ½” coupe bowl pairs flawlessly with the creamer pitcher, functioning perfectly as an elegant open sugar bowl for serving. The vast majority of this vintage set is in excellent pre-owned condition with a beautiful, glossy glaze. Some of the dishware has slight rubbing on the glaze where they had been stacked over the years, though this does not take away from the beauty or display quality of the plates at all.
