Up for sale is an exceptionally rare, highly sought-after 1930s Art Deco teapot manufactured by Arthur Wood & Son in Staffordshire, England. This piece belongs to the coveted "Silver Shield" pattern line, which rarely hits the open market. It features a striking, monochromatic abstract faux-bois (bark/wood grain) transfer design highlighted by distinct silver bands and an embossed silver crest on the front. The handle, spout, and top finial are beautifully finished to mimic a hand-painted stag-horn effect. This teapot is a perfect example of 1930s "Art Deco" style from England. Instead of common flower patterns, it uses a unique black-and-white tree bark pattern, shiny silver bands, and a neat shield on the front. Its sharp, straight shape looks like old-fashioned industrial designs from the 1930s. Because Arthur Wood didn't make many teapots in this specific style, it is very hard to find today and highly collectible!
