While technically produced in the 1970s, this authentic West German art pottery floor vase captures the absolute peak of the late mid-century modern (MCM) aesthetic. It features a beautiful, highly tactile contrast glaze: a glossy, fluted deep chocolate top that melts into a heavily cratered, cream-colored "fat lava" style textured base. At 44cm tall, this is a scarce, towering collector's size that makes an incredible focal point on a mantle, credenza, or directly on the floor alongside period-correct teak furniture.
