Vintage 1950s British ceramic set made by Kirkham Pottery in Staffordshire, England. This set features highly detailed historical English transferware illustrations. Included in this listing: 7.5" "Thaxted" Pitcher (Essex Scene): This is the hard-to-find, largest size Kirkham produced. It features the historic timbered buildings and church of Thaxted. It has the typical fine glaze crazing expected with English pottery of this vintage, but no chips or cracks. The George Inn" Mug (Somerset Scene): A matching barrel-shaped mug in undamaged condition. BONUS 2nd "The George Inn" Mug (DAMAGED): This second mug has a hairline crack and is included for free as a decorative bonus or pen holder. It has been excluded from the pricing of the set. Perfect for a vintage collector, a British pub-style home bar display, or used as a stunning cottage-style floral vase.
